Probably Stolen is a cyberpunk shopkeeping sim from Questing Goose Studio, published by tinyBuild, out on Steam since October 28, 2026 as a full release. This hub collects the key facts, including the launch time, price, platforms and system requirements, the official links and every Probably Stolen page we publish.
What is Probably Stolen?
Probably Stolen, full name Probably Stolen - Cyberpunk Shopkeeper Sim, puts you behind the counter of a pawnshop on a towering space station split by wealth and corruption. You are a former scavenger who got the store thanks to a generous loan; now the rent keeps rising, the factions are watching, and the best margins sit in legal grey zones. You buy, appraise, craft, trade and smuggle goods of questionable origin, decide whether to approve, refuse or report each deal, and try to earn enough to buy out the shop before the rent catches up with you. It is a single-player game, tagged on Steam as Indie, RPG, Simulation and Strategy.
Every product line has its own profits and its own way of ruining you, as the Steam page puts it: weapons bring inspections, chemicals bring addiction, water brings liability and contraband brings raids. Cigarette packs need a visual check before resale, water has to be tested and filtered, and weapons need permits. The demo ships in-game manuals for several of these trades: the Water Trading Manual, Chemistry 101, the Hydroponic Farming Manual, the Metallurgy Manual, and appraisal guides for the Ribwich, Plasma Cartridges and cybernetic hands. Our guides start with the problems demo players ask about most.
You choose a starting scenario at the beginning of each run. The Steam page names gunsmith, chemist, water merchant, fence and farmer starts, plus starting from absolute rock bottom. The full game's files list 14 starting scenarios, and the start screen lets you pick nine of them: Apprentice, Water Merchant, Fence, Rock Bottom, Hydroponic Farmer, Gunsmith, Chemist, Rat Wrangler and Aquafarmer. Junker, Organ Dealer and Street Food Vendor are on the start screen marked Work In Progress, and the developers said on October 21, 2026 that they will follow in updates. The demo opened four of them. On the start screen the game labels Apprentice "Recommended For New Players" and Rock Bottom "Extreme Challenge Mode". Each scenario's specialty and starting equipment are in our Starting Scenarios table; the starting perks you pick next, and whether you can change them later, are on our Probably Stolen perks page.
The free demo ran on Steam from September 14, 2026 until the full release, after the open Playtest in August; Steam no longer offered it on October 28, 2026. It opened four starting scenarios (Apprentice, Water Merchant, Rat Wrangler and Rock Bottom) and had no day limit, but the landlord never offered to sell you the shop. The developers say demo saves are compatible with the full game but strongly recommend starting a new one to avoid bugs.
Augs are the threat behind the counter: the Steam page describes a sentient AI chip that went rogue and took its hosts with it, and Augs look like everyone else until they don't. Our Probably Stolen Augs guide covers the signs to look for and what happens when you shoot. One of the endings in the demo's files is an Aug takeover of the station. Before its August 2026 reveal the game was called Deepspace Emporium, as the developer announced in the official Discord. There is no official mobile version: Steam lists Windows only.
The only official Probably Stolen download is on Steam, through the full game's store page and the separate free demo listing. The developers post news in their Steam announcements and on the official Probably Stolen Discord, which the Probably Stolen Steam page links as discord.gg/probablystolen; the same page links the r/ProbablyStolen subreddit and the game's X account. The developers have not launched an official Probably Stolen wiki as of October 28, 2026, so the guides below are our own, each with its sources listed.
