How do I start an adventure in Loftia?
Finish Permission to Glide, then take Ryder's quest Adventure Awaits! in Loftia City. Find 3 Scrambled Coordinates, show them to Ryder at the Adventure Dock and play your first adventure on Crater Island.
An adventure is a timed trip to a research island on Ryder's airship. Each one costs 3 Scrambled Coordinates and lasts 4 minutes. You get your first one, a short solo run on Crater Island, from Ryder's quest Adventure Awaits! in Loftia City. After that every adventure goes to the Grassy Islands, with up to four players and three missions plus two Gauntlets per run.

Adventures open with Adventure Awaits!, which Ryder gives you in Loftia City once you finish Permission to Glide:
The quest pays 15 Scrambled Coordinates and the Flare emote, enough for five more trips. Coordinates drop while you salvage and forage around the districts; our guide to getting Scrambled Coordinates covers every source and the carry limit.
Your first island is Crater Island. It is a solo tutorial where the game says you will "learn the ropes from Ryder": build Seismic Sonars, energize the Beacons and clear one Gauntlet, On and On and On.
Every adventure after that goes to the Grassy Islands. The game picks three missions from six and two Gauntlets from sixteen, on one of two island layouts, so no two runs are quite the same. The game's own advice for early runs: "Over time, you'll master adventures as you get familiar with the islands and acquire more tools. So don't push it for now—even completing a single goal is a great start!"
You don't need a group. The game's tip: "Adventures support up to 4 players, but you can also queue solo to be matched with other adventurers!" If nobody else is queueing, you go on your own.
To play with friends, form a group before anyone starts the adventure. The game notes that "forming groups is a great way to have everyone in the same Neighborhood", and a group member can send you an invitation that reads "(player) has invited you to join in on their Adventure!" Adventures also have their own voice chat, which you can switch on or off in the settings.
Five objectives need at least two players: the mission Redirect the Antennae ("It's a two-person job!") and the Gauntlets It's High Bloom, Smooth Operation, Fly High and Split Paths. The files mark the minimum but don't say whether those objectives still turn up when you are alone, so queue with at least one other player if you want a shot at every objective.
The story itself never needs a second player; our Loftia beginner guide covers playing solo and with friends outside adventures.
The Grassy Islands draw three of these six missions each run. The tool hints are the game's own.
| Mission | What you do | What you need | Players |
|---|---|---|---|
| Redirect the Antennae | Turn the antennas together | A second player | 2 or more |
| Energize the Beacon | Power up the beacons | Your Battery | 1 or more |
| Free the Birds | Cut the strings on trapped birds | Pruners | 1 or more |

| Build Seismic Sonars | Reassemble the sonars | Hammer | 1 or more |
| Repair the Wildlife Feeders | Fix the broken feeders | Wrench | 1 or more |
Repair the Wildlife Feeders is new in Early Access; the demo had the other five. The feeders don't cost a Repair Kit, only the Wrench.
Each Grassy Islands run has two Gauntlets, short puzzle rooms that end with a reward to grab. Early Access has 16, up from 9 in the demo. Four need at least two players.
| Gauntlet | Players needed |
|---|---|
| On and On and On | 1 or more |
| It's High Bloom | 2 or more |

| Might As Well Jump | 1 or more |

Stuck in a Gauntlet with a group? The game has a help request that tells your team "(player) requests help at (Gauntlet)".
Every mission and Gauntlet you finish gives 1 Bloom. At the end of the run you get a reward tier from 0 to 5. The game has six tiers for five objectives, so we read the tier as how many objectives you finished; the files don't spell that out. Here is what each tier can give in Early Access, next to the Dew the same tier gave in the Steam demo (build 26139222):
| Tier | Dew now | Dew in the demo | Other rewards the tier can give |
|---|---|---|---|
| 0 | 5 | 10 | — |
| 1 | 5 | 10 | 1 outfit piece |
| 2 | 5 | 10 | 2–3 outfit pieces |
| 3 | 10 | 20 | 2–3 outfit pieces |
| 4 | 10 | 30 | 3–4 outfit pieces, 1 Skill Point, 1 Chest Key |
| 5 | 10 | 40 | 3–4 outfit pieces twice, a 10% chance of 3–4 rare outfit pieces, 1 Skill Point, 1–2 Chest Keys, a 10% chance of a Golden Chest Key |
Yes, the Dew went down. Early Access halves the Dew for tiers 0 to 3 and cuts the top tier from 40 to 10. The top tier also gives fewer Skill Points (1, down from 3) and keys (1–2 Chest Keys, down from 2–3, and a 10% Golden Chest Key chance, down from 20%). Adventures are now more about Bloom and outfits than money; our Loftia money guide covers better ways to earn Dew.
New outfits. Tiers 1 to 3 give pieces of the Scout and Explorer sets and, new in Early Access, the Ranger set (15 pieces per item). Tiers 4 and 5 add the Diver, Frog Princess and Cloud Catcher sets (30 pieces per item). The top tier's rare roll, also new, gives pieces of the Cosmic, Stunt Squad, Dinosaur and Starweaver sets (50 pieces per item). Gathering spots on the islands can drop outfit pieces too, and Adventure Chests give outfit pieces, Dew and Sols.
Adventure perks. Three skills help: one "adds +5 seconds to the total Adventure timer", one makes "adventures with 100% of objectives complete give +1 extra reward item", and others raise the Adventure items carry limit by 5, 10 or 15.
| Tool | Where it comes from |
|---|---|
| | Keeping the Lights On, the second Gridfall story quest |
The Wrench has one source. In Keeping the Lights On, Mita sends you to check on Milo, and the next step is "Clear the trash piles to find Milo's spare wrench": break the trash piles with your Hammer until one gives you the Wrench. There is no Wrench recipe to look for, and no shop or chest gives one: the trash pile hands you the tool itself.
That puts it well into the story: you finish the Loftia City and Hanging Gardens story quests, travel to the Gridfall in Everything Is Connected, and then get Keeping the Lights On from Mita. Until then, leave the Wildlife Feeders to a teammate who has one. The full quest is in our Gridfall quest list.
The Wrench also fixes lamp posts, pipes, ziplines and other broken objects in the Gridfall; the game describes it as "the tried and true method for fixing anything - give it a twist and a smack."
Players reported on November 3, 2026 that getting disconnected or dropped mid-adventure puts them back in Loftia City with their progress saved on the server. Others reported spawning under an island or a teammate stuck in the floor. The game's Leave Adventure option takes you out of a run; a new run costs another 3 Scrambled Coordinates. Players also report that a group can come back on different Loftia City servers after a run, so teleport to each other before heading out again.
Three points are open. The files mark two-player objectives but don't say whether they appear in a solo run. We found no daily limit on adventures in the files, so this page gives none. And each reward tier lists several possible rewards without saying how many you get at once, so the table shows what a tier can give, not a fixed haul. We will reread the adventure and reward tables when the next Early Access build changes them.
Finish Permission to Glide, then take Ryder's quest Adventure Awaits! in Loftia City. Find 3 Scrambled Coordinates, show them to Ryder at the Adventure Dock and play your first adventure on Crater Island.
Three per adventure, for a 4-minute run.
Form a group before anyone starts the adventure, then go in together. Group members can also send you an adventure invitation.
Yes. You can queue alone and be matched with other players, or go on your own if nobody else is queueing. Five objectives need at least two players.
From the Gridfall story quest Keeping the Lights On: break the trash piles with your Hammer to find Milo's spare wrench. It has no recipe and no other source.
Yes. The top reward tier gives 10 Dew, down from 40 in the demo, and tiers 0 to 3 give half what they did.
It's High Bloom, Smooth Operation, Fly High and Split Paths. The mission Redirect the Antennae also needs two.
Yes. Early Access added the Ranger set to the regular rewards and a rare top-tier roll for the Cosmic, Stunt Squad, Dinosaur and Starweaver sets.
We found none in the game files. Each adventure costs 3 Scrambled Coordinates, so your coordinates are the practical limit.
Players report you land back in Loftia City with your progress saved. Queue again for a new run.
